Herein lies a poem within the image. This collection of work includes various vignettes, stories, dreams, and visions from Ben’s life and imagination. A true visual poet, Ben interprets his compositional work like a writer reviews their prose. Sometimes the material speaks through him, and sometimes it speaks for itself. Ben is just as much an artist of process as he is a determinate designer. In his more eccentric compositions, Ben stresses that the complete visual image is often only a slice of his intent behind it. He encourages much of his work to be interpreted in a performative sense, as if each artwork is a stanza of spoken-word poetry.
